This Privacy Policy explains how Spiono handles information in the iOS app and on spiono.app. The current app does not display third-party ads or use advertising tracking. Purchases, paywall interactions, website visits, and support messages are described separately below.
1. Summary
Spiono is a local party game that does not require a Spiono account. Player names, custom word packs, settings, and game history are stored on your device. Apple handles payments; RevenueCat manages Premium access and purchase-related analytics. RevenueCat also processes interactions with its paywall. We do not sell personal information or use app data for targeted advertising. The website separately uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to measure visits and Download clicks.
2. Local Gameplay Information
Spiono may let players enter or use player names, words, categories, prompts, settings, and other gameplay content. This information is used to run local game sessions on your device. We do not intentionally collect this local gameplay content on our servers.
Please do not enter sensitive, private, confidential, unlawful, or harmful information into the app. Players are responsible for the content they enter and use during gameplay.
3. Purchases and Subscriptions
Apple processes App Store payments. We do not receive your payment card number or Apple Account password. RevenueCat processes purchase records and subscription status to validate purchases, enable Premium, restore access, prevent fraud, and provide purchase analytics. These records can include product and transaction identifiers, receipts, purchase and renewal dates, expiration or cancellation status, currency, storefront, and entitlements. Available purchase options and their terms are shown before checkout.
RevenueCatUI also sends paywall interaction events, such as viewing or closing the purchase screen, choosing an option, and canceling a purchase. Events include timestamps and information about the paywall, offering, session, and language. These events help us understand how the purchase screen is used. They do not include your player names, custom words, or game conversations. Purchase History is used for app functionality and analytics; Product Interaction is used for analytics, as disclosed in App Store Connect.
4. App User IDs and Technical Information
Spiono configures RevenueCat with an automatically generated anonymous app user ID, rather than a name, email address, or Spiono login. We do not connect those purchase and paywall records to your real-world identity. An anonymous app user ID still distinguishes one RevenueCat profile from another; it does not mean that no data is processed.
RevenueCat requests also include technical information such as app and SDK versions, device model, operating-system version, language, and Apple storefront. The SDK sends the Apple identifier for vendor (IDFV) when available. IDFV is different from the advertising identifier (IDFA). Service providers receive network information, including an IP address, when a device connects to their servers.
5. Support Communications
If you contact us by email, we may collect your email address and the information you choose to include in your message. We use this information to respond to you, provide support, investigate issues, and keep records of the communication.
6. Diagnostics and Device Information
Apple may provide developers with limited diagnostics, crash, performance, or usage information depending on your device settings and Apple's systems. We may use this information to troubleshoot bugs, improve stability, and maintain the app. Spiono does not use this information for advertising or cross-service tracking.
7. No Advertising or App Tracking
The current Spiono app does not use AdMob, display third-party ads, request the advertising identifier (IDFA), or enable advertising attribution integrations. We do not combine app data with data from other companies for targeted advertising or advertising measurement, or share it with data brokers. RevenueCat purchase and paywall analytics are not used by us for that kind of tracking.
These statements concern the app. Website analytics is described in the next section and is not an analytics SDK inside the app.
8. Third-Party Services
Spiono relies on Apple for App Store distribution, in-app purchases, subscriptions, refunds, and subscription management. Apple's privacy information is available at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.
Spiono uses RevenueCat for purchase and subscription infrastructure. RevenueCat may process end user information on our behalf to provide those services. RevenueCat's privacy information is available at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy/.
The website uses Google Analytics 4 to measure page views, traffic sources, language, device/browser information, approximate location, and interactions including Download clicks. GA4 uses cookies and browser identifiers to distinguish visits. Our website code sends the page URL, title, language, content ID, and clicked App Store link; it does not send local gameplay content or RevenueCat customer/purchase records.
Cloudflare hosts and delivers the website and processes technical request information, such as IP addresses and requested URLs, to deliver and protect it. Language and theme preferences are stored in your browser. App Store links can include a shared campaign label so Apple can report aggregate website-referred downloads; the label does not contain a personal identifier.
9. Data We Do Not Sell
We do not sell personal information or use local gameplay content, purchase records, or support messages to build advertising profiles. Apple, RevenueCat, Google, and Cloudflare process information for the services described in this policy. We may disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect rights and prevent abuse.
10. Data Retention
Local gameplay data stays on your device until you delete it or remove the app; copies may also exist in device backups you control. Removing the app does not cancel a subscription or erase purchase records. Purchase records and technical or paywall events are retained as needed for access, restoration, analytics, security, support, and legal obligations, subject to the relevant provider’s retention settings and policies. Website analytics is subject to the GA4 property’s retention settings. Support messages are kept for as long as needed to handle your request and meet applicable obligations. We do not promise immediate deletion of records that a provider must retain.
11. International Processing
RevenueCat, Google, Apple, and other service providers may process information in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States. Privacy protections and government access rules may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
12. Your Choices and Rights
You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings and request refunds through Apple. You can delete local gameplay information and manage device backups. For website analytics, you can block or remove cookies in your browser and use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on where supported. Browser controls may not block every network request.
Contact support@spiono.app to request access, correction, or deletion of information we control. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent, and a complaint to your local data-protection authority. We may need information to locate a purchase record or verify a request; we cannot identify an anonymous RevenueCat profile from an email address alone. Some records must be retained for legal or security reasons.

13. Children's Privacy
Spiono is intended for local group entertainment and is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and respond.
14. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect information we process. Apple and RevenueCat provide infrastructure for payment and subscription processing, and Google provides website analytics infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
15. Changes to This Policy
We will update the date above when this policy changes and provide additional notice where required. This policy explains data practices; using the app or website is not, by itself, consent to optional processing that requires consent.
